Hon. Oladele Ajayi, the Member representing Ibeju-Lekki Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has expressed deep grief over the death of High Chief Tajudeen Oriyomi Ayeola, the Arobayo of Epe Land and a respected African Union leader.

Epe Insights reports that Hon. Ajayi described the passing of the revered traditional leader as a painful loss not only to Epe Division but also to Lagos State and the nation at large.

In a condolence message, the lawmaker said the late High Chief Ayeola was a symbol of unity, wisdom, and selfless service, whose contributions to community development and traditional leadership would be remembered for generations.

Hon. Ajayi noted that the Arobayo of Epe Land played a vital role in promoting peace, harmony, and cultural values within Epe Land and beyond, earning him widespread respect across social and political circles.

He added that the late chief’s influence extended beyond traditional institutions, as he also distinguished himself in continental service through his leadership roles linked to the African Union.

According to the legislator, High Chief Ayeola consistently used his position to foster unity among communities, strengthen traditional institutions, and support initiatives aimed at grassroots development.

Hon. Ajayi described the late Arobayo as a bridge-builder whose leadership style encouraged dialogue, tolerance, and mutual respect among diverse groups.

The lawmaker extended heartfelt condolences to the Ayeola family, urging them to take solace in the impactful life and enduring legacy left behind by the deceased.

He also sympathised with the people of Okunraye Town and the entire Epe community, describing the loss as one that would be deeply felt across the division.

Hon. Ajayi prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of High Chief Tajudeen Oriyomi Ayeola and asked God to grant his family, the traditional institution, and the people of Epe Land the strength to bear the irreparable loss.

He reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the values of unity, service, and leadership exemplified by the late traditional ruler.
