A grassroots organisation, Golden Ten of Lagos (G10), has donated a television set to pupils of RCM Primary School, Odomola, to support teaching and learning in the community.
EpeInsights gathered that the President of G10, Mr. Adekoya Idris Adebambo, said the gesture was in line with the group’s mission to invest in children and promote access to quality education.
“Education is light and the key to success. When the school authority reached out for support, we knew we had to respond. We believe in supporting young minds because they are the leaders of tomorrow,” Adebambo stated.
Speaking on the broader scope of the organisation’s work, G10 Vice President, Mr. Adekunle Rasheed, noted that the group has carried out several community projects, including drilling boreholes, cleaning markets and palaces, assisting the less privileged with food, and returning out-of-school children back to the classroom.
The Welfare Director, Mrs. Abosede Muraino, explained that G10’s commitment is driven by sacrifice and a passion for service.
“Our little contributions today can change lives tomorrow. Service to humanity is our guiding principle,” she said.
Other members present at the donation included Mr. Abiodun Ajayi, Mrs. Yetunde Kazeem, Mr. Lateef Bunkola, Mr. Adebowale Taofeek, and Mr. Gbolade Demola, alongside the executive team.
The head teacher of RCM Primary School, while receiving the television set, expressed appreciation on behalf of the pupils, describing the donation as “a major boost” to the school’s teaching process.
G10, which meets weekly at its office opposite the Oba of Odomola’s palace, continues to expand its reach across the community through education, health, and social welfare initiatives.
