The Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has completed the full reconstruction of Community Primary School, Folu, following severe damage caused by a windstorm.
Epe Insights reports that the project was executed under the administration of the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard public school infrastructure and protect pupils across the council area.
The affected school was restored through a comprehensive reconstruction exercise that transformed it into a safe, modern, and conducive learning environment for both pupils and teachers.
Works carried out include the installation of a new roof and ceiling, replacement of damaged windows and doors, new classroom flooring, improved toilet facilities, and complete repainting of the school buildings.
With the upgrades completed, academic activities have fully resumed in a more secure and comfortable setting, reducing safety risks previously faced by pupils after the windstorm incident.
Speaking on the intervention, Engr. Kasali reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to quality public education and child safety, stressing that no pupil should be exposed to danger in the course of learning.
He noted that prompt response to infrastructure challenges in public schools remains a priority of the Lekki LCDA, adding that similar interventions would continue wherever the need arises.
Parents and residents of the Folu community have commended the council chairman for the swift reconstruction and quality delivery of the project.
Community members described the intervention as timely and impactful, saying it reflects genuine concern for education and the wellbeing of children.
