As schools across Lagos State prepare to reopen, the Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has taken a bold step to support education by distributing 80,000 exercise books to pupils in public primary schools within the council.

EpeInsights gathered that the initiative, spearheaded by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, is aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and providing pupils with the basic tools needed to excel in their studies.

Speaking on the development, Hon. Akinloye reaffirmed that education remains a top priority for his administration, noting that the distribution of exercise books is not just an investment in pupils, but also a strategic investment in the future of the community.

“Our children are the leaders of tomorrow, and it is our responsibility to ensure they have the right resources to learn effectively. By providing exercise books, we are supporting parents, motivating pupils and reinforcing the importance of education in Eredo LCDA,” he said.

The council boss further assured that his administration would continue to roll out educational support programmes, strengthen partnerships with schools, and create an enabling environment for learning.

Parents and teachers across the LCDA have commended the gesture, describing it as a timely intervention that will encourage school attendance and enhance academic performance.

With this initiative, Eredo LCDA has once again shown its resolve to empower the younger generation and build a solid foundation for sustainable community development.
