Road construction on Akodu Street in Epe has reached its final stage, with paving stones now being installed after the completion of the drainage system and base course.

EpeInsights reports that the project is part of the ongoing infrastructural development efforts of the Epe Local Government.

Media Office of the Executive Chairman, Epe Local Government, Yusuff O. Temitayo, in a statement noted that the paving phase is crucial to ensuring a smooth and durable road surface capable of handling heavy traffic and seasonal rains. The project is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.

Residents however expressed optimism that the upgraded road will improve mobility, reduce flooding and enhance the overall appearance of the area.

The work on Akodu Street, under the leadership of Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, reflects the administration’s commitment to delivering quality infrastructure that directly benefits the community.

The Media Office of the Executive Chairman confirmed that the council will continue to focus on practical projects that improve living conditions for residents.
