Stakeholders across Epe Local Government have applauded the performance of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Princess Amb. (Dr.) Surah Olayemi Animashaun FHTI, as the 2026 Budget Consultative Forum held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the Council Chamber.

Epe Insights reports that the forum opened with a review of the administration’s achievements across key sectors, reflecting steady progress in infrastructure, education, health, environment, security, and social welfare.

Princess Animashaun outlined completed projects, including a Doctors’ Quarters, a Vocational Centre, an E-Library, and a Museum. She also highlighted the distribution of educational materials to public schools, the construction of 14 roads, major drainage clearing exercises, and support to riverine communities in health and education.

Her presentation drew commendations from respected stakeholders such as Hon. Bola Gbabijo, former Member of the House of Representatives; Hon. Jamiu Segun Agbaje, former Epe LG Chairman; and Hon. Ahmed Ayinde Seriki, former Sole Administrator of the council.

Hon. Seriki described her leadership as exemplary, noting that she had delivered impressive results within the first 100 days of the new administration. He emphasised that the government is continuous and urged residents to support the Chairman in sustaining development efforts.

Hon. Gbabijo and Hon. Agbaje also praised the administration for visible, impactful projects. Agbaje encouraged the Chairman to strengthen community engagement and widen participation in governance.

The forum recorded strong turnout from traditional institutions, community groups, market leaders, transport unions, and youth bodies. The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), led by Comrade Moibi Ibrahim, presented a gift to the Chairman in recognition of her support for youth development.

During the interactive session, residents—including Comrade Sheriff Tobun, Comrade Adesanya Ibrahim, and representatives from Oniitoomu and Oriba—presented their expectations for the 2026 fiscal year. The Chairman responded to each concern and assured that all wards would be considered within available resources.

Princess Animashaun reaffirmed her commitment to inclusive governance, describing the stakeholders’ support as a motivation to remain focused. She urged residents to stay security-conscious during the festive season and keep their PVCs ready for the 2027 elections.

Speaking on the 2026 budget, she noted that the fiscal plan places priority on welfare, infrastructure upgrades, and continuous development across Epe’s wards.
