As Muslim faithful gathered in celebration of Eid-el-Kabir across Nigeria, prominent Epe community leader, Otunba Shakirudeen Anifowoshe Denge, called for peace, unity and selfless service among leaders during a solemn Eid prayer event in Lagos State.

EpeInsights reports that Speaking to worshippers and dignitaries at the prayer ground in Epe Kingdom, Otunba Denge, who holds the traditional title of Akinrogun of Epe, urged political, traditional and youth leaders to put the interest of the people first.

“Leadership is not about personal gain. It is a responsibility to serve with humility, integrity, and love,” he declared.

Otunba Denge emphasized that the enduring strength of Epe lies in its history of mutual respect and unity, noting that the community’s progress is directly tied to its ability to remain united despite challenges.

He cautioned against divisive rhetoric and actions, encouraging residents to be vigilant against any efforts to disrupt the peace Epe has long enjoyed.

“Let no one sow seeds of hatred or division among us. Our legacy will be defined by how we treat one another,” he said.

In his remarks, Denge reminded residents that Eid-el-Kabir represents more than celebration—it is a time of reflection, sacrifice and communal strength.

“Let this sacred season renew our collective commitment to building a peaceful, progressive, and united Epe Kingdom,” he urged.

He concluded his message with a prayer for divine guidance for all community leaders and continued peace and prosperity for families across Epe and beyond.Epe Community Leader Otunba Denge Preaches Unity, Humility During Eid Prayers Epe Community Leader Otunba Denge Preaches Unity, Humility During Eid Prayers
