The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) officially presented Certificates of Return to Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), who was re-elected as Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), and his Vice Chairman, Hon. Oluremi Abiodun Alogba.
EpeInsights reports that the event, held at the LASIEC headquarters, confirmed their victory in the recently concluded local government elections and marked the beginning of a renewed mandate to serve the people of Lekki.
Alongside the chairman and vice chairman, six ward councillors-elect were also presented with their certificates, officially launching their new terms in office.
The councillors who received certificates include Hon. Oyiri Adeniyi Michael (Ward A), Hon. Onikosi Ismaila Adewale (Ward B), Hon. Musediku Monsuri Ola (Ward C), Hon. Adeniran Maria Oluwakemi (Ward D), and Hon. Lasisi Adedayo Adebayo Semiu (Ward E).
These councillors are set to represent their wards and work closely with the executive leadership to ensure inclusive development across the LCDA.
Engr. Kasali expressed heartfelt gratitude to the electorate for their confidence and trust, describing the re-election as a call to deepen his administration’s commitment to transparent, accountable, and people-centered governance.
He pledged to build on the achievements of his first term, which included improvements in infrastructure, community health initiatives, educational programs, and youth empowerment schemes.
“This renewed mandate is an opportunity to intensify our efforts and make Lekki LCDA a model of grassroots governance not just in Lagos State, but across Nigeria,” Kasali stated.
Hon. Oluremi Alogba also thanked the voters and political stakeholders for their unwavering support.
She emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving the council’s development objectives and reaffirmed her dedication to serving with integrity and responsiveness.
“We are focused on delivering sustainable growth and creating an environment where every resident can thrive,” Alogba remarked.
The LASIEC Chairman, Hon. Justice Bola Okikiolu-Ighile (Rtd.), who oversaw the certificate presentation ceremony, praised the peaceful conduct of the elections and commended the high level of civic engagement displayed by voters across Lekki LCDA.
She highlighted that such participation strengthens democratic processes and reinforces the legitimacy of elected officials.
Community leaders and residents who attended the ceremony expressed optimism about the new term, pointing to the administration’s track record of delivering tangible results and the promise of even greater progress ahead.
The re-elected leadership team is now focused on advancing projects in education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, infrastructure development, and empowerment programs aimed at youth and women.
