In a significant step towards strengthening his administration and enhancing governance at the grassroots level, the Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), on Monday officially appointed and sworn in two of his core aides.
EpeInsights gathered that during a brief but solemn ceremony held at the Chairman’s office, Hon. Rasaq Temitope Ojikutu was sworn in as Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman.
The Oath of Office was administered by Mrs. Afolake F. S. Roberts, Deputy Director of Legal Services, in the presence of key council officials, stakeholders and close associates.
In his remarks, Engr. Kasali charged Hon. Ojikutu to immediately resume duties, emphasizing the strategic importance of his role in coordinating the Chairman’s schedule, policy follow-up and administrative support.
He described Ojikutu as a “dedicated and disciplined team player” with a proven record of service and loyalty.
Also taking the oath of office was Mr. Elemoro Ademola Noheem, who was officially appointed as the Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman.
In this role, Noheem will be responsible for managing public communication, media relations, and promoting the activities of the Lekki LCDA under the current administration.
The Chairman expressed his confidence in both appointees, stating that their competence and commitment to service would further drive the vision of the council.
“Our people deserve effective governance, and that starts with building a capable team,” Kasali noted.
He added that the appointments mark the beginning of a more focused and coordinated administration, promising that more key appointments would follow in line with his developmental agenda for the LCDA.
The swearing-in event drew commendations from council members and community stakeholders who praised the Chairman for selecting capable hands to support his administration.
These appointments signal the administration’s readiness to hit the ground running and deliver on its promises of development, transparency, and responsive governance.
