The Tutor-General and Permanent Secretary of Education District VI, Mrs. Mojisola Yusuf, has restated the district’s commitment to innovation, continuous teacher development, and digital transformation to enhance learning outcomes across schools in Lagos State.
Speaking in Lagos on Tuesday, Mrs. Yusuf said Education District VI—which oversees 106 schools across Ikeja, Mushin, and Oshodi—remains dedicated to building a 21st-century education system aligned with global best practices.
She emphasized that the district has made teacher capacity development a top priority through regular training, workshops, and the adoption of technology-driven instructional methods.
According to her, the Lagos State Government under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has demonstrated strong commitment to transforming the education sector through digital integration, infrastructure upgrades, and improved welfare for teachers.
“The vision of Education District VI is to produce well-rounded learners equipped with the knowledge, skills, and character needed to thrive in a competitive and digital world,” Yusuf stated.
She added that mentorship and peer-learning initiatives among teachers have encouraged innovation and collaboration, resulting in improved teaching standards and stronger academic performance in recent examinations.
Yusuf also revealed that the district is working closely with technology partners to boost digital literacy and ensure access to modern learning tools across all schools.
While commending teachers, administrators, and students for their dedication, she applauded the Sanwo-Olu administration for providing an enabling environment for educational advancement in Lagos State.
She further called on parents and community leaders to collaborate with schools in nurturing disciplined and creative learners, stressing that education remains the foundation of sustainable development.
Mrs. Yusuf concluded by affirming that Education District VI would continue to champion innovation, quality education, and digital inclusion in line with the THEMES+ agenda of the Lagos State Government.
