As part of activities marking the 25th anniversary of the National Women’s Conference (NWC), the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) has announced a free medical outreach for residents of Epe Federal Constituency.
EpeInsights reports that the initiative, which is being organised in collaboration with Epe Local Government, Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the Recreation Centre, Epe, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The outreach is designed to make quality healthcare more accessible to people within the constituency, with a special focus on early detection and prevention of common ailments.
Medical experts will be on hand to provide free services including hypertension and diabetes screening, hepatitis B and C testing, tuberculosis checks, eye examinations, cervical and breast cancer screening, dental check-ups, skin clinic services, malaria testing, as well as health education and counseling.
According to the organisers, the outreach reflects COWLSO’s commitment to strengthening families and communities by addressing health challenges that often go undetected until they become life-threatening.
The program also reinforces the Lagos State government’s broader agenda of promoting preventive healthcare and encouraging residents to take proactive steps in managing their well-being.
Residents of Epe and its environs are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity by attending the program with family and friends.
Organisers emphasized that knowing one’s health status and receiving professional medical guidance can make a critical difference in preventing long-term illnesses and improving overall quality of life.
The free medical outreach is expected to draw a large turnout, as it offers a rare chance for community members to access essential health services without cost.
