The Gbadewolu of Araromi Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Olayemi Lukman Arowolo Arole Oguntimehin I, has intensified preparations for the 2026 Oguntimehin Day and Empowerment Programme.
Epe Insights reports that the monarch disclosed that the annual celebration will again combine rich cultural festivities with a large-scale empowerment initiative targeted at youths, widows, widowers, and other less privileged residents across Araromi Kingdom.
Speaking on the programme, Oba Oguntimehin described empowerment as a critical tool for addressing economic hardship and promoting self-reliance at the grassroots.
He noted that providing practical support remains central to his vision of restoring dignity and hope among his people.
According to the palace, empowerment materials lined up for distribution include sewing machines, motorcycles, catering equipment, hairdressing and barbing kits, makeup tools, and other vocational items designed to help beneficiaries establish sustainable means of livelihood.
