The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially unveiled Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE) as the party’s candidate for the Chairmanship of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in the forthcoming 2025 local government elections.
EpeInsights reports that the announcement came during the APC’s flag-off event held at the party’s secretariat in ACME, Ikeja, where the Lagos State APC Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, formally presented the party flag to Engr. Kasali, widely known as RBK.
Also receiving the party flag was his running mate, Hon. Oluremi Abiodun Alogba, the Vice Chairman of Lekki LCDA.
Party stalwarts, local councillors, and a cross-section of supporters turned out in large numbers to witness the presentation and reaffirm their support for RBK’s leadership.
The event served as a formal endorsement of his candidacy and a signal of the APC’s confidence in his administration’s vision and performance.
Engr. Kasali, who currently serves as the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, is seeking re-election with a promise to build on the achievements of his current tenure.
Addressing party faithful at the event, RBK pledged to “fly the APC flag even higher” and continue delivering on projects that align with the community’s development aspirations.
“This flag represents more than just a political symbol—it is a banner of responsibility, progress, and shared vision for Lekki’s future. With the support of our people and party leadership, we are ready to do more,” he stated.
As the 2025 polls approach, stakeholders in Lekki LCDA and across Lagos are watching closely, with RBK’s candidacy already stirring anticipation for continuity and consolidation in local governance.
