The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has been commended by the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission for his outstanding commitment to staff welfare and progressive administrative policies.
EpeInsights gathered that the commendation came during a working visit to the LCDA Secretariat by the Commission led by its Chairman, Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu.
He was accompanied by Commissioners representing the five divisions of Lagos State, Hon. Hakeem Adisa Bamgbala, Hon. Ahmed Ayinde Seriki and Hon. Taofik Abiodun Adaranijo.
Also present were senior representatives of Permanent Secretaries and Directors, who joined the team in assessing the administrative and developmental strides of the LCDA.
The oversight visit focused on key areas such as staff welfare, deployment, promotion and discipline.
During the interactive session, the Commission introduced recent innovations aimed at repositioning local government administration for greater efficiency and grassroots impact.
Speaking on behalf of the Commission, Hon. Ahmed Ayinde Seriki, Commissioner II representing Epe Division, emphasized professionalism, discipline and accountability as core pillars of the civil service.
He praised Chairman Anomo’s visionary leadership and urged staff members to remain committed to excellence.
In his response, Chairman Anomo expressed appreciation for the Commission’s visit and recognition, acknowledging the staff’s dedication as central to the Council’s transformation efforts.
He reaffirmed his administration’s continuous commitment to improving staff welfare and fostering a positive work environment.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Council Manager Mr. Awobajo Sunday applauded the Commission for its proactive role in enhancing service delivery at the grassroots. He also hailed the Chairman’s recent capacity-building initiatives and motivation packages, which he said have boosted staff morale significantly.
A major highlight of the visit was the announcement of a ₦20,000 Ileya bonus for all staff members, a gesture warmly welcomed with cheers and applause from the workforce, further underscoring the administration’s commitment to staff welfare.
The event not only underscored Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA’s growing reputation as a model for progressive local governance but also strengthened the partnership between the Council and the State’s Local Government Service Commission.
