The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has completed the Aledo/Owu Street road project in Ward F1, Ikosi-Ejinrin, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to grassroots development.
Epe Insights reports that the newly completed road measures about 300 metres in length and 6.5 metres in width, linking Old Otta Road to Lateef Jakande Way along the Agbowa–Owu axis, thereby improving connectivity within the area.

The road has been fully asphalted and equipped with dual covered drainage systems on both sides to enhance durability and prevent flooding, especially during the rainy season.
In addition, solar-powered streetlights have been installed along the corridor to improve safety and ensure visibility for motorists and pedestrians at night.
Residents and road users say the project has significantly eased movement and reduced travel time, particularly during peak hours when adjoining major roads experience traffic congestion.
The Aledo/Owu Street serves as a critical alternative route for commuters, traders, and residents who rely on the road for daily economic and social activities.
The project was initiated following a groundbreaking ceremony led by Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, reflecting a hands-on approach to infrastructure delivery within the LCDA.
Community stakeholders described the completion as a practical response to long-standing concerns about poor road conditions in the area.
The development aligns with the administration’s “Changing the Narratives” agenda, which prioritises road infrastructure, safety, and inclusive growth across Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.
Observers note that the completion of the Aledo/Owu Street further underscores the council’s focus on people-oriented projects that deliver lasting value.
Residents have commended the chairman for translating promises into visible projects that directly impact daily life.
