The Chairman of Epe Local Government Area in Lagos State, Princess Surah Animashaun, has expressed her gratitude to the people of Epe for renewing her mandate in the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) local government primary election.
EpeInsights reports that Animashaun while describing her victory as heart-warming, noted that it serves as further proof that no individual can obstruct what is divinely ordained. She emphasized that power ultimately belongs to God.
In her statement, Princess Animashaun acknowledged that the primary election was keenly contested.
However, she said her emergence as the party’s candidate was a sign of goodwill and a vote of confidence in her administration.
She assured residents that her second term would bring continued delivery of democratic dividends.
She also reaffirmed her commitment to upholding the APC manifesto and continuing her government’s inclusive approach to leadership, which she said had characterized her administration over the past four years.
The chairman thanked all delegates and stakeholders for conducting the primary peacefully. She specifically appreciated APC leaders at both the local and state levels, party members, security agencies, the media, and other key participants for their roles in ensuring a smooth electoral process.
Princess Animashaun concluded by thanking the people of Epe, her appointees and personal supporters for their unwavering prayers and support, while assuring them of her continued dedication to service as the council prepares for the upcoming local government elections.
