The Agbomeji Memorial Central Mosque in Ayetoro Market hosted a vibrant 3-in-1 annual ceremony on Sunday, 23rd November. The event featured the turbanning of newly appointed mosque chiefs, presentation of awards, and the annual Maulid Nabiyy celebration in honour of Prophet Muhammad.

Epe Insights reports that the ceremony drew notable personalities, including the Chief Imam of Epe Land, Sheikh Abdulkabir Oriyomi Shamradeen; Chief Mrs Adenike Tobun; and several respected dignitaries. The atmosphere was filled with prayer, celebration, and reflection on leadership within the Islamic community.

 Alhaja Mariam Kawojue—installed as the Ajijola Anobi Adinni—expressed gratitude for her new role and explained that turbanning honours individuals who have shown dedication and made meaningful contributions to the growth of Islam and the mosque.

The newly turbaned Chief Imam of Agbomeji Memorial Central Mosque, Fadilat Sheikh Ibrahim Balogun, also appreciated the congregation for their support. He urged all newly installed chiefs to uphold integrity, commitment, and service, noting that their appointments were based on merit and their visible contributions to Islamic development in Epe.

The event reinforced community unity and highlighted Agbomeji Memorial Central Mosque’s role in fostering Islamic values, leadership, and social harmony among Epe Muslims.

The chief host, Alhaji Asiwaju Monsuur Agbomeji, thanked attendees for gracing the occasion. He reaffirmed his continued support for the mosque and pledged to remain committed to advancing Islam within the community.
