In a bold move to keep young minds engaged and academically empowered during the long vacation, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, has unveiled a free holiday lesson initiative for primary school pupils across the local government area.
EpeInsights reports that the programme set to kick off on Monday, August 11, 2025 will run concurrently at four strategic centres.
They are; St. Theresa’s Primary School, Epe; St. Michael Primary School, Epe; Community Primary School, Erepoto; Zumuratul Islamiyyah Primary School, Epe.
According to the Chairman, the initiative is designed to bridge learning gaps, support continuous education during the break, and ensure that children return to school better prepared for the upcoming academic session.
“This is about accessibility, equity, and preparing our children for a brighter tomorrow. Education must be inclusive and consistent whether schools are in session or not,” said Princess Animashaun.
The program is expected to benefit hundreds of pupils, offering them a structured and supportive environment to revise core subjects, strengthen their learning and remain mentally engaged during the holidays.
It also comes as a relief to parents who often struggle to find safe, productive spaces for their children during extended breaks.
More than just an academic program, the holiday lessons reflect a broader vision by the Animashaun-led administration: investing in the intellectual capital of Epe’s next generation.
This initiative adds to the growing list of people-focused, impact-driven programs under her leadership, which continues to gain praise for prioritizing education, community development, and inclusive governance.
As Epe continues to shine brighter on the map of educational progress, its leadership is showing that when learning is brought closer to the people, transformation follows.
