The Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has been thrown into mourning following the untimely death of one of its brightest young leaders, Mr. Ahmed Kayode, a dynamic youth advocate from the Ejinrin community.
EpeInsights reports that in an official condolence statement, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, described the passing of Mr. Kayode as a “painful blow” to the entire local government area, particularly the Ejinrin Youth Organization and the wider Eleniyan dynasty.
“It is with a deeply saddened heart that I received the shocking news of the passing of a promising, passionate, energetic and dedicated youth leader in our community — Mr. Ahmed Kayode,” the Chairman said.
Known for his calm disposition and tireless service, Ahmed was celebrated as a committed force in local youth development.
He was often seen working closely with community groups, lending his voice and strength to various initiatives aimed at uniting and empowering young people in Ejinrin.
“In his quiet but impactful way, he exemplified the spirit of selfless service,” Anomo added. “His contributions to youth development and his unwavering belief in unity and progress were deeply admired by all who knew him.”
A figure beloved by his peers, Ahmed’s sudden demise has left many in shock and disbelief.
Tributes have poured in from residents, community leaders, and youth groups across the LCDA, remembering him as a beacon of hope whose leadership inspired many.
Chairman Anomo, in his tribute, prayed for divine mercy and comfort:
“May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, illuminate his grave, and admit him into the highest rank of Jannah. And may He grant strength and comfort to all of us left behind.”
While the circumstances surrounding his death remain private, the sense of loss reverberates deeply across the community. A candlelight procession and community prayers are expected to be held in his honour in the coming days.
