The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has officially presented Akogun Wale Raji Anomo and Alhaji Wasiu Dehinsilu as its Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates for the upcoming July 12 Local Government Elections in Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
EpeInsights reports that the unveiling, held at the APC State Secretariat on Acme Road, Ikeja, was part of a broader ceremony where the party presented flags to all Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates across the 57 Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas (LGAs/LCDAs) in the state.
The event was attended by key party figures, including members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), the Conference 57, and other political stakeholders who reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to grassroots leadership and continuity of governance.
Leading the symbolic handover was the State APC Chairman, Hon. (Pastor) Cornelius Ojelabi, who charged candidates to remain steadfast in their service to the people and uphold the party’s values as the election approaches.
Receiving the flag, Hon. Akogun Anomo expressed gratitude to the party leadership and the people of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA for the confidence placed in him and his running mate.
He described the ticket as a collective mandate for sustained development and inclusive governance.
“This is more than just a flag; it is a symbol of our shared vision for progress. Our administration remains committed to building on the solid foundation we have laid, ensuring that no one is left behind,” Anomo said.
He also called for unity among party members and stakeholders, emphasizing that collaboration and dedication would be essential as they move into the critical phase of electoral campaigns.
The atmosphere at the APC Secretariat was charged with excitement and optimism, signaling a renewed push by the ruling party to maintain its hold on local councils and further entrench its developmental agenda across the state.
With campaigns now in full swing, the APC candidates in Ikosi-Ejinrin are expected to rally support around themes of continuity, grassroots empowerment, and responsive leadership ahead of the July polls.
