The Ikosi-Ejinrin delegation was led by the Wife of the Executive Chairman, Nafisat Olajumoke Anomo, alongside top officials including the Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Mrs. Onaneye Adetutu, Special Adviser on WAPA, Ms. Bakare Omoshalewa, and other community women leaders.

Their participation underscored the council’s growing role in promoting women-focused initiatives across the Epe axis and strengthening grassroots impact.

Speaking at the event, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to protecting the rights of women and girls while expanding access to justice and economic opportunities.

He stressed the importance of moving beyond advocacy to actionable policies that deliver measurable results, noting that investment in women remains critical to sustainable development.

Also addressing the gathering, the First Lady, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, called for deliberate efforts to strengthen women’s capacity, expand economic inclusion, and encourage greater participation in leadership and governance.

The event, themed “Rights. Justice. Action for All Women and Girls,” provided a platform for robust discussions on key issues affecting women, including economic empowerment, social inclusion, and equal opportunities.
