A special Jumat prayer was held at the Igbooye Central Mosque to commemorate the coronation anniversary of the Orijeru of Igbooye Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba AbdulRasaq Akanni Musa, as part of activities to thank Almighty Allah for a peaceful and impactful reign.

Epe Insights reports that the prayer session was brought together Islamic clerics, traditional chiefs, community leaders, youths, and residents of Igbooye Kingdom in a solemn atmosphere marked by gratitude, unity, and reflection.

The gathering was organised to seek continued divine guidance for the monarch and the kingdom.

During the special prayers, supplications were offered for the Orijeru’s long life, sound health, and wisdom to continue steering the affairs of the kingdom.

Prayers were also extended to Igbooye Kingdom, Eredo Local Council Development Area, and the entire Epe Division, asking for sustained peace, progress, and

harmonious coexistence among residents.

Delivering the sermon, the Chief Imam of Igbooye Central Mosque highlighted the importance of prayer, faith, and obedience to constituted authority as pillars for societal stability. He reminded worshippers that leadership thrives when supported with prayers and cooperation from the people, stressing that peace and development are products of unity and respect.

“A peaceful community is built on faith, unity, and respect for leadership,” the Chief Imam said. He added that continuous prayers for the monarch would ensure that his reign remains peaceful, purposeful, and beneficial to the people.

Speaking on the significance of the occasion, a community elder described the Orijeru as a symbol of peace and fatherly leadership. According to him, the monarch’s reign has fostered harmony, strengthened communal bonds, and promoted understanding among residents of Igbooye Kingdom.

A youth representative also noted that the prayer session served as a reminder that leadership is rooted in service. He said the Orijeru has consistently demonstrated commitment to the welfare of the people and the development of the community.
