The Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State, Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, says ongoing economic reforms by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are translating into tangible projects at the grassroots level.

EpeInsights gathered that Akinloye made the remark while commissioning newly completed school projects in Odogbawojo, Ibonwon, and Odomola communities.

According to him, increased federal allocations to local councils have enabled Eredo LCDA to expand investments in education infrastructure and welfare support for families.

“We have commissioned three schools today and distributed exercise books to all primary school pupils. This has been made possible by the improved allocation we now receive,” he said.

Parents and residents, he added, were feeling the impact through relief measures such as the provision of writing materials and enhanced learning facilities.

Party leaders and education officials at the event backed his claims. Eredo APC Chairman, Hon. Mahmud Agbaraojo, said the new classrooms were proof that federal policies were ‘reflecting where it matters most’.

Epe Local Government Education Authority Secretary, Hon. Idowu Shittu (SAICO), also noted that higher allocations had enabled councils to prioritise education.

The event drew traditional rulers, party stakeholders, and community representatives, and featured the distribution of exercise books to pupils across 19 public schools, alongside the fencing of school compounds to improve security.

Akinloye urged continued collaboration between government and residents to sustain development gains at the grassroots.
