A wave of congratulations has continued to trail the re-election of Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun (FHTI) as Chairman of Epe Local Government, with staff and management describing the development as a “well-deserved victory” for a visionary and dedicated leader.
EpeInsights reports that in an official message issued by NULGE Chairman of Epe Local Government and Senator representing Lagos East in NULGE Lagos State, Comrade Ayeola Ajarat Omolara, the team expressed pride in Princess Animashaun’s leadership journey and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting her in the new term.
“Our dear Mother and visionary leader, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, we extend our heartfelt congratulations on your well-deserved re-election,” the message read.
“We are proud to be associated with your journey and look forward to even greater achievements under your continued guidance.”
Princess Animashaun, fondly known as “Iya Epe,” was officially sworn in for her second term yesterday, July 27, 2025, by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the State Government House.
During the ceremony, the Governor charged all re-elected and newly elected council chairmen across the state to uphold good governance, transparency, and service to the grassroots.
Her swearing-in came after she received her Certificate of Return from the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), affirming her victory in the local government elections held on July 12, 2025.
Princess Animashaun’s re-election has been widely seen as a vote of confidence in her first-term achievements, which included people-centered programs, infrastructural improvements, and progressive community engagement.
As she begins her second term, stakeholders across Epe Local Government say they are optimistic that her administration will continue to drive growth, innovation, and meaningful service delivery for the benefit of all residents.
