Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, unveil the newly completed Lagos State Housing Estate, Ajara Phase I, Badagry, adding 420 modern housing units to the State’s growing portfolio of affordable homes.
EpeInsights reports that the Commissioner for Housing, Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, made this known during a media chat with reporters in his office on Tuesday, describing the project as another milestone in the Sanwo-Olu administration’s drive to close the housing deficit and enhance living standards across the State.
According to him, the new estate comprises 420 apartments made up of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units, designed to accommodate over 2,000 residents comfortably.
“The Ajara Phase I Housing Estate is a clear reflection of Governor Sanwo-Olu’s commitment to delivering on his campaign promise to complete all ongoing housing projects across Lagos,” Akinderu-Fatai said.
“It is not just about providing homes but also about boosting the local economy, creating jobs, and ensuring more Lagosians have access to decent and affordable accommodation.”
The Commissioner expressed delight over the project’s completion and thanked prospective subscribers for their patience and confidence in the administration’s housing initiatives.
He, however, cautioned interested applicants to deal directly with the Ministry of Housing and avoid unauthorized agents or middlemen, emphasizing that the Ministry does not engage external agents in the allocation or sale of its housing units.
Akinderu-Fatai advised all interested subscribers to visit the Estate Department of the Ministry of Housing, Block 3, The Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, for legitimate inquiries and applications.
The commissioning of the Ajara Phase I Estate marks another bold step under the THEMES Plus Agenda of the Sanwo-Olu administration, reinforcing the State Government’s vision of making Lagos a more inclusive and livable city for all residents.
