In the spirit of Ramadan 2025, the Lafayo family has distributed palliatives to the less privileged in Epe.
Epe Insights reports that the family of the late Muibi Komolafe Oluwo Lafayo, former Balogun of Epe Land, distributed palliatives to the less privileged to support the needy during the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking at the event, Alhaji Abdulfatai Oluwo Lafayo, the head of the Lafayo family, said the initiative was driven by a longstanding tradition of generosity within the family.
“This is not the first time the Lafayo family has embarked on such a charitable act,” he said. “We believe in giving back to society, particularly during Ramadan, when it is important to extend kindness to those in need. We encourage other well-meaning individuals to follow suit in supporting the less privileged.”
The head of the Lafayo family also highlighted the prominence of the Lafayo family in Epe, referencing one of their distinguished members, High Chief Akim Durojaiye Oluwo, who was recently conferred with the chieftaincy title of Ashipa of Epe Land by His Royal Majesty, Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun.
“This recognition is a testament to the credibility and integrity of our family,” he added. “We remain committed to upholding values of service, leadership, and community support.”
Several beneficiaries of the palliative distribution expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the gesture.
“I am truly grateful for this support, especially during this fasting period,” said Mrs. Rafat, a widow and one of the beneficiaries. “May Allah continue to bless the Oluwo Lafayo family and increase them in wealth and honor.”
Another beneficiary, Mr. Lateef, praised the family’s consistent efforts in giving back to the community.
“This act of kindness reflects the deep-rooted tradition of generosity in Epe,” he remarked. “We hope other well-to-do families will emulate this.”
