The Serving Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, on Wednesday paid a private visit to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos, using the occasion to advocate for a united and forward-moving Nigeria.
EpeInsights learnt that Bakare while speaking to journalists after the closed-door conversation, described the visit as part of his continued commitment to Nigeria’s progress.
While he did not reveal specific proposals discussed, he said the dialogue focused on actionable strategies to move the nation forward.
“It’s not just about expressing concerns,” Bakare stated.
“My vision is to see a Nigeria that works in my lifetime.”
The former presidential aspirant stressed the importance of unity across Nigeria’s regions, urging collaboration between northern and southern leaders to foster national development.
“I’d like to see Nigerians being their brother’s keeper,” he said. “Collaboration between the best of the North and South is key.”
He praised President Tinubu’s openness during the meeting and expressed optimism that divine guidance will steer the country through its current challenges.
The visit comes amid national discussions on economic recovery, political cohesion, and regional inclusivity.
