Ahead his 15th coronation anniversary, the paramount ruler of Odo-Ayandelu Kingdom, HRM Oba (Builder) Asunmo Ganiyu Aderibigbe, Jamade I, embarked on a heartwarming outreach to the Home of God’s Grace Orphanage and Young Widows Centre.

EpeInsights learnt that the visit took place in Agbowa Ikosi-Ejinrin, within the Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State, where the monarch donated food items and exercise books, reaffirming his longstanding commitment to the welfare of vulnerable members of the community.

He also made a significant pledge to sponsor the full education of one child from nursery to university level.

According to the founder of the orphanage, Mrs. Bosede Boluwajoko, the centre was established in 1997 following what she described as a divine healing from kidney disease, which inspired her to dedicate her life to caring for vulnerable children and widows.

Mrs. Boluwajoko expressed deep gratitude to Oba Aderibigbe, noting that he is the first traditional ruler to visit the home since its establishment nearly three decades ago.

“The first king to pay us a visit since the inception of this orphanage home is HRM Oba Asunmo Ganiyu Aderibigbe. During Children’s Day, he comes around to play football and ludo with the children,” she shared.

She also recalled the monarch’s prompt response during a fire incident at the home in 2022.

“When we had a fire outbreak in 2022, Kabiyesi was the first to rush down here. He stayed with me for more than three hours, comforting and supporting us. He has brought food items on numerous occasions, and today again, he came bearing gifts and promises.”

Oba Aderibigbe, in his remarks to the children and staff, reaffirmed his commitment to their welfare.

“May God be with all the staff. You are rendering a selfless service. May your own children also be successful. And to you, my children, I greet you and pray you will continue to excel and fulfill your potentials. May God bring helpers to your doorsteps,” he said.

Turning to the children, the monarch added warmly:

“I love you all, and I promise to do even more. I will discuss with Mama (Mrs. Boluwajoko) and pick one of you to sponsor through school. I appeal to all people of means to come forward and support the future of these children.”

The visit, which drew smiles and excitement from the children and staff alike, further reinforced Oba Aderibigbe’s reputation as a compassionate and people-oriented traditional leader.Odo-Ayandelu Monarch Supports Orphans, Widows in Agbowa Ikosi Ahead 15th Coronation Anniversary Odo-Ayandelu Monarch Supports Orphans, Widows in Agbowa Ikosi Ahead 15th Coronation Anniversary Odo-Ayandelu Monarch Supports Orphans, Widows in Agbowa Ikosi Ahead 15th Coronation Anniversary
