The MFA Ambassadors Ladies of Legacy officially launched their much-anticipated Free Skill Acquisition Training today at the Otunla Town Hall, and the opening day saw an overwhelming show of interest and enthusiasm from the community.
EpeInsights learnt that a total of 82 young girls turned up on the first day alone, eager to take part in the hands-on training sessions that cover a wide range of practical skills.
Participants are being trained in Graphics Design, Hair Making (Dreadlocks & Didi), and Fancy Cap Making, among others.
From Oribanwa to Ibeju to Magbon, girls from various communities arrived early, ready to embrace the opportunity to learn, grow, and shape their futures.
The atmosphere at the venue was vibrant and energetic, as trainers engaged the students in interactive and impactful sessions.
“The turnout today has been incredibly encouraging. It shows that when opportunities are made available, our girls will show up, ready to learn and rise,” said Olowu Kemisola, General Secretary of the MFA Ambassadors Ladies of Legacy.
The skill training, which runs Monday to Friday, is set to continue in the coming days, with even more participants expected to join.
With such a strong start, the program is already proving to be a meaningful platform for empowering young girls during the holiday period, providing them not only with practical skills but also with a renewed sense of confidence and direction.
As the week unfolds, the MFA Ambassadors remain committed to making the training impactful, with plans to reward outstanding participants with starter packs and materials to support their skill journey beyond the classroom.
The success of Day One marks the beginning of what promises to be a transformative experience for dozens of girls across the Ibeju-Lekki axis.
