A mammoth crowd of residents in Ibeju-Lekki converged at multiple venues on Monday, July 8, as the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, took his re-election campaign to Wards B, E, and F, drawing overwhelming support from party faithful and residents alike.

EpeInsights learnt that the rallies, organised by the All Progressives Congress (APC), were held at Roman Catholic Mission Primary School, Ayeteju; the open space at Central Mosque, Bogije; and opposite Ologunfe in Awoyaya.

Supporters, dressed in vibrant yellow branded shirts, transformed the communities into carnivals of political enthusiasm.

In Ward B, the atmosphere at RCM Primary School was electric as residents chanted slogans and waved banners to welcome Olowa and his running mate, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji. They were accompanied by prominent APC leaders, including Alhaji Bode Oyedele, Alhaji Tunde Isiaq, Hon. Tansiru Shoniyi, Hon. Idowu Eletu, Hon. Abiola Okanlawon Olowu, Hon. Muslim Folami, Director-General of the Campaign Organization Hon. Babatunde Quadri Idogun, Hon. Balogun Gbenga Kazeem, and Hon. Isiaka Logun Akinwunmi.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Hon. Olowa expressed gratitude for their turnout and support, which he described as proof that the APC remains the party of choice in Ibeju-Lekki. He assured residents that his administration remains committed to people-focused governance.

At the rally in Ward E, held in Awoyaya, Olowa appealed for the continued mandate of residents, highlighting achievements from his first term and assuring the people that the vision of “Making Ibeju-Lekki Great for Everyone” will be fully realized in his second term.

He acknowledged the challenges encountered in the past three and a half years but emphasized the resilience of his team in delivering on its developmental promises.

In Ward F, the chairman recounted efforts made by his administration in health care, education, environment, security, and social development.

He noted that visible progress in infrastructure across the council area stands as testament to the government’s commitment to service.

Director-General of the campaign council, Hon. Babatunde Quadri Idogun, said the APC had a strong message to take to the electorate, one based on tangible achievements.

He described Olowa’s performance as outstanding and expressed optimism that a second term would further transform the Ibeju-Lekki axis.

At each rally point, party leaders urged residents to turn out in large numbers to vote during the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) elections scheduled for Saturday, July 12.

Voting is expected to begin by 8:00 a.m. across all polling units in the state.

As election day approaches, the momentum in Ibeju-Lekki continues to build, with residents showing growing confidence in the leadership and vision of Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa and his team.
