The Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has commenced a free monthly medical check-up program for its workforce, marking a new chapter in staff welfare and workplace health.

EpeInsights reports that the initiative, spearheaded by the Executive Chairman, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), kicked off on Thursday at the Office of the Medical Officer of Health.

Staff members took part in comprehensive health screenings, including blood pressure and blood sugar checks, with free medications provided where necessary.

According to the Council Chairman, the program is aimed at promoting early detection of health issues, encouraging preventive care and fostering a healthier and more productive workforce.

“Healthy employees are the foundation of a stronger Lekki LCDA,” Kasali said, urging all staff to take full advantage of the monthly check-ups.

The Office of the Medical Officer of Health will continue to coordinate the exercise every month, ensuring that all staff have consistent access to basic health services at no cost.

With this initiative, Lekki LCDA joins the growing list of local councils in Lagos State prioritizing staff well-being as an essential part of governance.
