Lekki LCDA Delegation Champions Coastal Security at Nigeria International Border Platform Meeting

In a show of commitment to Nigeria’s coastal security, a delegation from Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA) joined national leaders and key stakeholders at the three-day Nigeria International Coastal Border Platform Stakeholders Meeting held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

EpeInsights gathered that the delegation, led by the Oni Lepia of Lepia Kingdom, Alayeluwa Oba Adeleke Ismaila Akibu (Adengbin I), alongside Chief Lawal Tajudeen, Baale of Folu, and Mr. Kazeem Adeseye, Human Resource Officer of Lekki LCDA, actively participated in discussions aimed at strengthening the country’s coastal border defenses.

The summit convened public officials, traditional rulers, and security experts to explore collaborative strategies to protect Nigeria’s extensive coastlines, safeguard vulnerable coastal communities and expand the blue economy while addressing pressing climate change challenges.

The Lekki LCDA delegation emphasized the importance of joint action and practical solutions in securing the nation’s borders, ensuring the safety of coastal residents, and preserving the natural resources that drive economic growth.
