The Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse (LMDC) has officially launched its first-ever MDA Sensitisation Programme, starting with the staff of the Public Service Office (PSO) in Lagos.
EpeInsights gathered that the inaugural session, led by LMDC’s CEO/Director, Mrs. Achere Cole, marked a significant step toward promoting the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms within government institutions.
In her remarks, Cole highlighted the importance of equipping public servants with the knowledge and tools to handle disputes efficiently through methods like mediation, arbitration, early neutral evaluation, and restorative justice.
“Our goal is to foster a more harmonious and productive working environment across Lagos State MDAs,” she said, noting that ADR is a more efficient, cost-effective alternative to prolonged litigation.
According to the LMDC, this sensitisation initiative will soon extend to other Ministries, Departments and Agencies across the state as part of its broader mission to institutionalise ADR in public service administration.
This outreach underscores the LMDC’s commitment to creating awareness, building capacity, and fostering peaceful dispute resolution within the Lagos State civil service.
