The Lagos State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Rural Development, Mr. Bolaji Kayode Robert, has extended his condolences to the people of Oto Awori Local Council Development Area (LCDA) following the passing of their Executive Chairman, Prince Musbau Adekunle Ashafa.

EpeInsights reports that the Commissioner in a statement expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing the late Chairman as a dedicated public servant who remained committed to grassroots development until his last days.

“This is a painful loss not only to the Council but to Lagos State at large,” Robert said, emphasizing the Chairman’s legacy of service and his passion for community development.

The late Prince Ashafa passed away on Friday, June 13, 2024, after a brief illness.

Speaking on behalf of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Commissioner offered heartfelt sympathies to His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa Oba Momodu Afolabi Ashafa, Onijanikin of Ijanikin, and to the entire community.

He prayed for divine comfort for the royal family, the Ashafa family, and all residents of Oto Awori LCDA, asking God to grant the departed Chairman eternal rest.
