It was a vibrant display of political strength and unity today as the All Progressives Congress (APC) held a grand Lagos East Senatorial District Mega Campaign Rally in Ikorodu, drawing massive crowds and top-ranking party figures.
EpeInsights reports that the rally, held ahead of the July 12 Local Government Elections, brought together leaders, supporters, and stakeholders united in a shared vision for progress at the grassroots level.
Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, who represented Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, led the charge alongside Lagos APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi; prominent members of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC); and key party stalwarts from across the state.
From Ikorodu to Somolu, Kosofe to Epe, and Ibeju-Lekki, the energy was electrifying as constituents rallied behind APC’s message of continued development, responsive leadership, and grassroots-focused governance.
“Our people are ready,” said a party leader at the rally.
“They want progress that touches lives at the local level and APC is the party to deliver that.”
With all 16 Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates in Lagos East officially presented at the event, the party reaffirmed its preparedness for a clean sweep at the polls.
As the election countdown begins, party leaders are urging eligible voters across Lagos East and the entire state to turn out en masse on July 12 and vote for APC candidates.
“Let’s work together to build stronger communities from the ground up,” the Deputy Governor charged, echoing the collective call for transformative leadership across all local councils.
