As the vibrant Kayokayo Festival approaches its thrilling conclusion, all eyes in Epe Kingdom are fixed on Friday, July 25, when the Kosoko Royal Family will perform the historic lighting of the seventh and final Etufu torch.

On Thursday evening, during the sixth Etufu lighting hosted by the Isale Agoro descendants, Barrister Bayo Okulu, Coordinator of Kayokayo 2025, delivered a heartfelt message on behalf of the Kosoko Royal Family.
Conveying warm greetings from the Oloja Eko-Elect, Oba Abiola Kosoko, Barrister Okulu expressed profound gratitude to the people of Epe for their unwavering commitment to preserving this historic tradition.
“Oba Abiola Kosoko sends his sincere appreciation to everyone involved in keeping this legacy alive. He is immensely proud of the unity and cultural pride that Epe continues to display through Kayokayo,” Okulu shared.
Barrister Okulu passionately urged residents to come out in large numbers to witness and support the final Etufu lighting, describing the event as more than just tradition—it is a living symbol of Epe’s identity and strength.
