The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary, urging citizens to embrace unity, patriotism, and continued support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
EpeInsights reports that in his Independence Day message, Anomo described October 1st as a historic date that symbolizes Nigeria’s freedom from colonial rule and the birth of self-determination. He reminded citizens of the sacrifices of the nation’s founding fathers, whose resilience and vision laid the foundation for the freedom enjoyed today.
“As we celebrate this milestone, it is important that we not only reflect on how far we have come as a nation, but also renew our collective resolve to preserve the values of unity, equity, justice, and fairness. Nigeria remains our common heritage and it is only through peace, patriotism, and solidarity that we can continue to build the nation of our dreams,” he said.
The Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA boss lauded President Tinubu’s bold reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda, likening them to “necessary surgery” required to restore strength to a weakening body. According to him, though the reforms may be demanding, they are laying the groundwork for a more sustainable economy and a prosperous Nigeria.
“At this critical juncture of our national history, I urge us all to maintain faith in the system, continue to support the PBAT-led administration, and contribute in our own ways to nation-building. Let us eschew division, hatred, and retrogressive tendencies, while embracing unity, peace, love, and a shared belief in the brighter future that awaits us,” he added.
Anomo concluded by calling on Nigerians to keep hope alive and work together in building a stronger, more prosperous, and united country.
“Together, let us keep hope alive and work hand in hand to build a Nigeria that is strong, prosperous, and united under God,” he said.
The Chairman further extended Independence Day wishes to the people of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Lagos State, and the entire nation.
