The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has extended warm wishes to pupils, teachers, non-teaching staff and parents as schools across the council area resume for the 2025/2026 academic session.
EpeInsights reports that in a goodwill message on Monday, Anomo described the beginning of a new school year as more than a mere calendar change but “a fresh opportunity to dream, to learn and to grow.” Quoting Malcolm X, he reminded learners that “the future belongs to those who prepare for it.”
He urged students across the LCDA to embrace discipline, focus, and courage in their studies, noting that education remains their most reliable tool for building a successful future. “Each day in class is a step closer to the future you desire,” he said.
The chairman also commended teachers and educators for their selfless service, describing them as role models shaping both knowledge and values in children.
“Your role as guides and mentors in the lives of our children is immeasurable,” he stated, while encouraging them to remain steadfast and passionate in their duties.
To parents and guardians, Anomo stressed the importance of active involvement in their children’s education, noting that their support forms the foundation upon which pupils can thrive.
Reassuring stakeholders, the LCDA boss pledged that his administration, in collaboration with the Lagos State Government, would continue to invest in improved school facilities, provide better support for teachers, and ensure students are well-prepared to compete and excel.
“As we step into this new session, let us do so with optimism, resilience, and a shared commitment to excellence. May it be a year of breakthroughs, achievements, and meaningful progress for the entire education family of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA,” he said.
The chairman concluded by wishing all education stakeholders a successful and rewarding school year.
