As Nigeria marks Children’s Day, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, delivered a stirring message that emphasized the importance of nurturing the dreams and futures of children in the community.

EpeInsights reports that Anomo while describing children as “the celebration of hope itself,” called on residents to recognize the value and potential that lies in every child’s smile, curiosity and aspirations.

“As a father, a leader, and servant of the people, I see our children as the greatest investment of our time,” he stated. “Their joy is our motivation; their safety, our responsibility; and their future, our most sacred duty.”

In his Children’s Day message titled “Little Dreams, Big Futures: Celebrating Our Greatest Treasures”, Anomo reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to creating an inclusive and enabling environment for young people.

He pledged to continue working towards an Ikosi-Ejinrin where every child is safe, valued, educated, and empowered.

“On this special day, I reaffirm my commitment to building an Ikosi-Ejinrin where no dream is too big and no talent is left unexplored,” he said.

Addressing the children directly, Anomo encouraged them to keep dreaming and shining: “The world is waiting for your greatness,” he added.

Children’s Day in Nigeria is commemorated annually to promote awareness about the rights and well-being of children.
