The Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju (FCA-FCTI), has donated a laptop computer to the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) office in the area to strengthen its operations and improve service delivery.

EpeInsights learnt that the intervention is aimed at enhancing workflow efficiency, ensuring accurate documentation, and reducing errors in data processing.

According to Hon. Olanrewaju, the gesture reflects his administration’s commitment to supporting institutions that play a vital role in governance and national development.

“Our goal is to ensure that NIMC staff have the necessary tools to work efficiently and deliver accurate identification records to the people of Ikorodu and beyond,” he said during the handover.

He added that the provision of the laptop will enable staff to process data faster, minimize errors, and free up time for other critical tasks, ultimately improving citizens’ experience at the NIMC office.

The donation is also expected to strengthen the Commission’s capacity to maintain credible identity records, a critical foundation for credible elections, security management and effective governance.

A representative of the NIMC, while receiving the device, expressed gratitude to the council boss, describing the gesture as timely and impactful.

“We appreciate the kind gesture of Hon. Olanrewaju, which will go a long way in improving our workflow and efficiency,” the official said.

The initiative underscores the importance of local government support in bolstering national systems and highlights how community-focused leadership can directly impact governance outcomes.Ikorodu West LCDA Supports NIMC with Laptop Donation to Enhance Operations
