The review session of the Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) SEED Programme earlier today turned into a celebration of excellence and opportunity for Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, as 20 students from public secondary schools emerged scholarship winners, thanks to the local government’s weekend tutorial initiative.
EpeInsights reports that the event, attended by the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki LG, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, showcased the tangible impact of his administration’s education-focused programmes.
The winning students, all beneficiaries of the weekend tutorial scheme, secured full scholarships to Pan-Atlantic University, an achievement that drew pride and emotion from stakeholders, parents and community members present.
Adding to the excitement, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Pan-Atlantic University announced that the institution will provide computer tablets to all SS3 students in public secondary schools across Ibeju-Lekki.
The initiative is designed to strengthen digital learning, enhance academic preparedness and further support the council’s push for quality education.
In his remarks, Hon. Olowa expressed deep gratitude to the students, teachers and Pan-Atlantic University for making the programme a resounding success.
He stressed that the collaboration between the council and its partners has turned what began as a simple weekend tutorial into a transformative platform that opens doors of opportunity for young people.
“The scholarships and digital support announced today are not just victories for individual students; they are proof that when communities, educators, and institutions unite, education becomes a ladder of hope. This is a foundation for a brighter future in Ibeju-Lekki,” the Chairman stated.
The milestone stands as a testament to the council’s resolve to make education a priority, ensuring that every child has a fair chance to excel and succeed.
