Residents of Ibeju-Lekki turned out in large numbers to celebrate this year’s Annual Community Day, a vibrant event that highlighted the spirit of unity, progress and collaboration among the people, the Community Development Committee (CDC) and the local government.
EpeInsights learnt that the gathering provided an opportunity for residents and stakeholders to reflect on shared achievements while exploring new ways to advance sustainable growth and community development across the area.
In his address, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, praised the CDC for its strong partnership and visible impact in the local government, commending its members for their commitment to community welfare and development.
“The crop of CDC executives has done well in their collaborative efforts with the government and the impact is clear for all to see,” Olowa said.
“We deeply appreciate this unwavering dedication and assure our people that inclusive governance will remain our top priority.”
CDC Chairman, Comrade Jabita Adeboye, also lauded Hon. Olowa’s visionary leadership, noting that the council has experienced remarkable progress under his administration.
He pledged continued support from the CDC in driving the collective mission of building a stronger and more prosperous Ibeju-Lekki.
“You can count on our 100 percent support in every endeavor,” Adeboye said. “Together, we will continue to build a brighter future for our communities.”
The celebration featured a colorful road show with participants from various communities and will continue through Saturday, November 8, with cultural displays and other activities that showcase the unity and pride of the Ibeju-Lekki people.
