As the countdown to the July 12 Local Government elections continues, political activities are reaching a fever pitch in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State.

Leading the campaign trail on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is the incumbent Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. (Engr.) Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, and his running mate, Hon. Isiaka Yusuf Olatunji.
The APC campaign, according to party officials, is anchored on continuity, sustainable development, and people-centered governance.
At Ibeju-Agbe Town, residents of Ward A gathered in the residence of Kabiyesi Agbabiaka, where key APC figures engaged the electorate.
Notable dignitaries present included Alhaji Bode Kashif Oyedele, Alhaji Tunde Isiaq, Hon. Isiaka Logun Akinwunmi, Hon. Tansiru Shoniyi, Director-General of the Campaign Organization Hon. Babatunde Quadri Idogun, Special Adviser to the Governor on Taxation and Revenue Hon. Abdul-Kabir Opeyemi Ogungbo, among others.
Leaders emphasized the importance of a high voter turnout to position Ibeju-Lekki at the forefront of progressive grassroots leadership.
In Ward C1, the campaign stop at Orofun, opposite Atlantic Bay Hotel, echoed similar messages. Party chieftains described the APC as a performance-driven party with a track record in grassroots development, urging residents to consolidate on previous gains by re-electing the current leadership.
The campaign train continued to Community Primary School, Iberekodo, where leaders spoke to the historical significance of the area and emphasized the need to vote for continuity and results-driven governance.
The crowd was told that their votes would shape the future of Ibeju-Lekki.
In Ward D, the team moved through Solu-Jegi and Solu-Alade, with stops at key locations including the Ogungbo compound in Idado.
The rally featured Hon. Bayo Balogun and the Special Adviser on Energy and Mineral Resources, Hon. Abiola Okanlawon Olowu, who joined the campaign procession in mobilizing support.
The APC campaign has consistently framed the upcoming elections as not just a partisan affair but a clarion call for unity, community development, and responsible leadership.
The campaign trail is set to continue today in Wards B, E, and F as Hon. Olowa and Hon. Olatunji continue to receive enthusiastic endorsements from the electorate, strengthening their bid for a second term.
