The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has reiterated his administration’s dedication to infrastructure renewal as he embarked on an inspection of major roads within the council area on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

EpeInsights learnt that the inspection tour began at the Lakowe-Losoro access road, where the council boss assessed the level of readiness ahead of the upcoming stakeholders’ meeting and official flag-off of the 400-meter stretch.

The project, according to Hon. Olowa, will be constructed as a standard paved road complete with drainage systems and solar-powered streetlights—an intervention designed to ease mobility, boost economic activities, and enhance security in the area.

During the visit, Hon. Olowa also paid homage to the traditional ruler of Lakowe, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulhakeem Adisa Olusegun Ojomu, the Ojomu of Lakowe, in acknowledgment of the royal father’s support for developmental projects across the community.

The inspection tour further took the chairman to the Eleranigbe road, a strategic route facilitated by Zylus Homes and Properties. The road, which has now been completed, has opened up the axis to vibrant commercial activities, creating opportunities for residents and investors alike.

Speaking after the inspection, Hon. Olowa expressed satisfaction with the progress of the projects, stressing that road infrastructure remains a top priority for his administration.

He assured residents that more communities would soon benefit from similar interventions aimed at accelerating growth and improving the standard of living in Ibeju-Lekki.
