Residents of Temu Community in Mercy Land Garden City CDA, Agbowa Ikosi-Ejinrin, erupted with joy today as Hon. Ogunkelu fulfilled his pledge by delivering a brand-new 300KVA transformer to the community.
EpeInsights reports that the intervention follows a recent stakeholders’ meeting at the Agbowa Ikosi-Ejinrin Secretariat, where residents passionately appealed for a solution to their electricity challenges.
In response, Hon. Ogunkelu assured them that within 48 hours a new transformer would be provided, a promise he has now kept to the letter.
A delegation comprising Hon. Niyi Olukoya, Hon. Sanni Maruh, and Hon. Abiodun Lawal was on ground to represent Hon. Ogunkelu and supervise the successful handover of the transformer to community leaders.
The new transformer is expected to significantly improve power supply, boost local businesses, and raise the standard of living in the area. Community members described the gesture as a mark of sincerity, responsive governance and people-centered leadership.
Speaking on the development, Hon. Ogunkelu reaffirmed his commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the people, driving infrastructural development, and empowering communities across his constituency.
