The momentum is building ahead of the July 12, 2025 Local Government Elections in Lagos, and for Eredo LCDA, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye officially received the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag, signaling his candidacy for a renewed term as Chairman.
EpeInsights reports that Hon. Monsuru Akinloye who was accompanied by his running mate, Hon. Lateef Adesanya, Akinloye was presented with the APC Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship flags during a symbolic ceremony at the Lagos APC Party Secretariat.
The presentation was led by the Lagos State APC Chairman, Hon. (Pastor) Cornelius Ojelabi, and witnessed by party loyalists, stakeholders and chieftains from across the state.
Speaking after receiving the flag, Hon. Akinloye described the moment as both humbling and energizing. “This flag is more than a symbol it’s a renewed mandate to serve, to build, and to lead inclusively,” he said.
“We are on a collective journey to uplift Eredo, and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who believes in the Ileri-Oluwa agenda.”
Akinloye, who currently serves as the Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, used the occasion to reiterate his commitment to transparency, grassroots empowerment and community-driven development.
He assured residents that his administration would continue to deliver projects and policies that reflect the people’s needs and aspirations.
His running mate, Hon. Lateef Adesanya, shared the same optimism. “This is a fresh call to action. We are ready, not just to lead, but to truly serve. The people of Eredo deserve the best, and that’s what we’re bringing to the table.”
APC State Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, praised the pair’s track record, calling them a “tested and trusted” team.
“The APC is proud of the leadership in Eredo LCDA. What Hon. Akinloye has accomplished is a testament to consistency, vision and grassroots engagement. We’re confident that this team will secure victory and continue to deliver on the party’s promises.”
As the election countdown continues, the energy around the Akinloye-Adesanya ticket is building and if Saturday’s flag presentation is anything to go by, the campaign trail in Eredo is about to get even more spirited.
