Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday presided over the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed Chairman and Commissioners of the Lagos State Civil Service Commission at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja.
EpeInsights reports that Mrs. Boladele Dapo-Thomas was officially sworn in as Chairman of the Commission, alongside four new Commissioners: Mr. Fatai Olalekan Lasisi (Commissioner I), Hon. Lateef Yahaya (Commissioner II), Mr. Afolabi Shobowale (Commissioner III), and Mr. Rufus Adekoya (Commissioner IV).
The oath of office was administered by Governor Sanwo-Olu, who congratulated the new appointees and urged them to uphold professionalism, transparency, and accountability in the discharge of their duties.
“The Civil Service Commission remains the engine room of our public service system. As custodians of recruitment, discipline, and career development of civil servants, your role is vital to the efficiency and success of our administration,” Sanwo-Olu said during his address.
The event was attended by top government officials, including the Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat; Head of Service, Mr. Olabode Agoro; Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Lawal Pedro, SAN; and Member of the House of Representatives representing Ibeju-Lekki Federal Constituency, Hon. Adebayo Balogun.
In a show of unity and commitment to service delivery, the newly sworn-in officials posed with the Governor and other dignitaries, signaling a fresh chapter for the Civil Service Commission.
The ceremony underscored the Sanwo-Olu administration’s continued focus on building a professional and motivated workforce to drive sustainable development in Lagos State.
