Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Chairman of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Musibau Ashafa, who died at the age of 68.

EpeInsights reports that in a heartfelt condolence message issued on Saturday through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu described Hon. Ashafa’s death as a significant loss not just to the people of Oto-Awori LCDA, but also to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the entire Lagos State.

“We have lost a committed, humble, and visionary leader,” the Governor said.

“Hon. Musibau Ashafa was a passionate grassroots politician who dedicated his life to public service and community development. His tenure as chairman brought visible progress to Oto-Awori LCDA, especially in key areas that touched the lives of ordinary residents.”

The Governor extended his condolences to Hon. Ashafa’s family, friends, and political associates, as well as members of the Conference 57, the body of council chairmen in Lagos State.

He also sympathised with the Vice Chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA, Hon. Abiodun Azeez, and the council’s management and staff.

Governor Sanwo-Olu concluded his message with prayers for the peaceful repose of the late chairman’s soul and strength for those mourning his loss.
