With just days to the much-anticipated Local Government Elections scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025, the National Executive Council of the Federation of Epe Division Students’ Associations (FEDSA) has issued a strong call to action to all indigenous youths and students of the Division, home and abroad to embrace their civic duty by participating actively in the polls.

EpeInsights reports that FEDSA, in a statement tagged “Your Vote, Your Right! Your Voice, Your Power!”, emphasized the critical role of the youth demographic in shaping the future of Epe Division.

The association described voting as not just a constitutional right but a powerful tool to influence leadership, demand accountability and advocate for development that benefits the entire community.

“Your vote is your voice,” the statement reads.

“It is your tool to shape leadership, demand development and champion the future of Epe Division we all dream and believe in.”

FEDSA urged all eligible voters especially students and young adults to resist the urge to stay silent or disengaged, stressing that apathy only strengthens poor governance.

Key messages from the statement include:

  • Get your PVC ready.
  • Encourage others to vote.
  • Step out and vote wisely.

“The leaders we choose today will determine the direction of our tomorrow,” the statement added.

“Let your vote speak for progress, accountability, and good governance.”

The association reiterated that even a single vote can spark meaningful change and called on all youths to be proactive in shaping the destiny of the Division.

As election day approaches, FEDSA’s message echoes a broader nationwide sentiment urging increased youth participation in governance and grassroots decision-making.

The group remains confident that Epe Division’s young population will rise to the occasion and make their voices heard at the ballot box.
