The Executive Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Ismail Monsuru Akinloye, has called on all eligible residents to participate in the forthcoming Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise to strengthen their role in the democratic process and ensure their voices are heard in future elections.

EpeInsights reports that Hon. Akinloye explained that the registration will begin with an online pre-registration phase on August 18, 2025, through the Independent National Electoral Commission’s official portal at cvr.inecnigeria.org.

This will be followed by in-person registration at all INEC offices nationwide, starting on August 25, 2025.

The chairman outlined that the exercise will cover several important voter-related services.

These include registration for new Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) for those who have never been registered, replacement of lost, stolen, or damaged PVCs and the transfer of voter registration to a new location for individuals who have relocated.

He stressed that voter registration is not only a constitutional right but also a civic responsibility that empowers citizens to influence governance at all levels.

He urged residents, particularly first-time voters and those who have recently changed their place of residence, to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the CVR to ensure they are able to vote in upcoming elections.

According to Hon. Akinloye, active participation in the electoral process remains one of the most effective ways for citizens to contribute to the growth and development of their communities and the nation at large.

He reiterated that a strong voter base is vital for ensuring that the will of the people is accurately reflected in leadership decisions.Eredo LCDA Chairman Tasks Residents for Continuous Voter Registration
